With over 20 years’ experience in print services, John Velde brought a wealth of industry know-how to Washburn University’s mail and print services when he joined the team 4 years ago. In his current role John focuses on identifying, implementing and advocating for tools that meet the evolving demands of campus life. Whether its new, innovative solutions or expanding upon existing solutions that have proven successful, John always looks to ensure the tools implemented deliver accuracy, efficiency, and a superior user experience across campus. Washburn University has been customer of Pitney Bowes for nearly a decade and John has been working closely with them for nearly 4 years.

Office & Postal Manager, Facilities Management, Johnson County, KS

Rosie Sandoval has been in Office Administration with Johnson County, KS for over 30 years. In her current role she acts as the Facilities Management Office Manager as well as the County’s Postal Manager. She always tells her team to expect change, and often jokes it’s her middle name, because she is continuously looking for new and innovative solutions that deliver greater efficiency for her team, department, and the County at large. She feels this curiosity is a contributing factor to Johnson County’s ‘Higher Performing Organization’ culture. Johnson County is a long-time customer of Pitney Bowes and Rosie has been working closely with them for over 7 years.

Tom Hazel

Tom Hazel is an expert in helping companies improve mailing and shipping operations. He is responsible for managing the Shipping Solutions product group for the U.S and Canadian field organization, as well as the North American Inside Sales Channels. In addition to his current role, Tom also sits on several postal, education & development and direction committees within the organization, conducts client educational webinars throughout the year on behalf of Pitney Bowes and also speaks at various Postal Customer Council events. He was one of the country’s first Certified Postal Consultants (CPC) with Pitney Bowes, has earned Presidents Award presented annually to one Director nationwide and many Global President’s Forum awards.

Paul has devoted his career to helping local governments be on the forefront of using technology to increase value delivered to the public. He has over 30 years in various Information technology roles in both the public and private sectors including 20 years leading Information Technology departments. He now helps local governments get the most value from their significant investment in people, process, and technology.

Some of Paul’s accomplishments include leading two different IT organizations that earned Top-10 Digital Counties Survey awards for a combined 11 times. He has also earned an InformationWeek 500 Government Innovators award.

Paul holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Information Systems degrees as well as undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Psychology.
