Bob Woolley — Moderator

Senior Fellow, Center for Digital Government

Bob was the chief technical architect for the state of Utah’s Department of Technology Services, including the development of the state’s Utah.gov portal. Utah has been widely recognized in these areas with numerous national awards. He has also been a technical lead and RFP writer for the WSCA/NASPO Cloud and Data Communication Procurements. He has experience with state, county and higher education employee skill assessments and technology upgrade implementations. He has extensive experience with development and implementation of enterprise infrastructure and technology services. He focuses on e-government and technical architecture, with special emphasis on technical architecture implementation, planning and analysis; Web design; cloud implementation; and development of online government services. He is a specialist in Theory of Operations documentation processes and implementation of Microservice Architecture and DevOps in hybrid cloud environments. He has worked in the public sector as a university professor and systems analyst, and in the corporate world as a company president and enterprise architect. He has a master’s degree from Utah State University. He was named as one of Government Technology Magazine’s Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers, and has specialized in applying new and emerging technology solutions to government.

Christopher Reed

Chris is an award-winning, influential business and technology leader with over 26 years in the industry. He has exceptional critical thinking, leadership, negotiation, and mediation skills. As a Global Technical Strategist within VMware's Office of the CTO, Chris helps build and align customer needs with a market strategy to provide tangible results. As a strategist, he acutely recognizes social and technical trends and applies those to the complex world of end-user services. He previously served as Mobility and End User Computing Practice Manager for a top VMware Partner, creating strategy, vision, and alignment between stakeholders to streamline the process of positioning, consulting, designing, delivering, and supporting End User Computing Solutions. With broad-reaching experience in Healthcare, Education, Communications, Technology, Financial Services, and Real Estate industries, he is well suited to advise a vast array of industries. He is known for refined business acumen and developing and maintaining meaningful business relationships.

Gabe Knuth

Sr. Product Line Manager, VMware

Gabe Knuth is a member of the EUC Product Marketing team VMware. He has spent over 20 years in EUC, including eleven years as an independent industry analyst at BrianMadden.com. Prior to joining VMware, he worked in Product Marketing at Microsoft, focusing on FSLogix and Windows Virtual Desktop.
