John leads SADA’s Global Speciality Sales organization, working with Google and strategic customers to develop and implement their strategies on their collaboration, security, and location intelligence vision. With 20 years of experience in software and technology sales, John has a deep technology background. He spent the first decade of his career at Thomson Reuters, focusing on financial markets data and infrastructure. At Google Cloud, John worked with large enterprise clients on collaboration and cloud adoption efforts, including developing the Google Workspace Sales Specialist business and leading the North American Google Workspace New Business team. Most recently, John managed strategic sales in the fintech payment sector at Plaid before rejoining the Google Cloud ecosystem with SADA in 2022. Volunteer Work: I have worked with Team Impact, City Harvest, American Cancer Society, and Chatham Baseball Club. Leadership: Board of Directors, Shoemaker Lumber, LLC. Why Tech: I have always loved technology and its intersection with day to day life. I love selling Google Workspace and collaboration software because it can have a meaningful impact on not just how enterprises work, but it can improve the professional lives of the thousands and thousands of people who engage with those tools daily. Dr. Michael J. Martirano is a Senior Fellow for the Center for Digital Government. He is a seasoned educational leader, serving over 40 years in the public education sector. He has served as a science and math teacher, a principal and assistant principal at the elementary, middle and high school levels, a central office administrator, a local superintendent in two counties in the state of Maryland and as the state superintendent of schools for the great state of West Virginia. He holds a bachelor of science degree and two masters of education degrees from the University of Maryland and a doctorate in School Management and Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, he is a completer of the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance program at American University in Washington, DC. He the recipient of over thirty awards and honors during his distinguished career including being named the Outstanding Alumni from the College of Education at the University of Maryland, the Most Admired CEO and the Innovator of the Year by the Daily Record in the state of Maryland and the Exceptional School Superintendent Leadership Award given by the National Center for Children and Families.
