Cisco Secure Service Edge Leader of US Public Sector, Cisco

Brenton Newell leads Cisco System’s US Public Sector Cloud Security hyper-specialist team and is a 6 year veteran of Cisco where he and his fellow colleagues spend every day working to secure our country from cyber attacks that threaten the security of our nation. Brenton joined Cisco via the Cloudlock acquisition in 2016 and in his three year service as Director of Sales at Cloudlock he built and led its Public Sector SLED sales team and also led its market entry efforts into Japan. Prior to his service at Cloudlock Brenton was a top performing Enterprise Account Executive at Sophos (a leading cybersecurity firm) and has spent the past 17 years of his career in the cybersecurity industry helping organizations transform cybersecurity into a business enabler. Brenton holds an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in Economics and Japanese Language from Teikyo University in Tokyo, Japan as well as a certificate of advanced Mandarin Chinese Language ability from the Dalian University of Foreign Languages in Dalian, China where he also worked as a business consultant in the Chinese IT industry. Brenton lives in Boston Massachusetts with his wife and three children (and their new Samoyed puppy).
