Mr. Bushar is a seasoned, highly effective, and innovative cyber security leader with over 26 years of experience in cyber defense operations, cybersecurity consulting, and incident response services in both the government and commercial sectors. Mr. Bushar has a track record of successfully building strategic programs and dynamic teams that deliver innovative cyber solutions, ensure effective security, minimize organizational risk, and ensure mission outcomes for customers. Currently, Mr. Bushar serves as the Managing Director of Mandiant solutions at Google Public Sector. In this role, he leads a diverse global team of cyber experts who deliver Mandiant and Google’s unique platform of innovative security and cloud capabilities and solutions to protect critical missions, infrastructure, and national security interests worldwide. Prior to his work at Mandiant and Google, Mr. Bushar served as the Director of the Department of Justice Security Operations Center (JSOC) where he led transformative efforts to redefine and restructure key information security and cyber defense operation capabilities. Mr. Bushar also served as the Department’s Insider Threat Program Manager and liaison to the National Insider Threat Task Force. In previous roles, Mr. Bushar built and led expert teams of cyber defense operators, incident responders, and red teams at several U.S. intelligence and defense department agencies.

Government Cloud & AI Services Lead, Mandiant, now part of Google Public Sector

Jon is the Government Cloud and AI Services Lead at Mandiant, now part of Google Public Sector, where he brings over 20 years of consulting experience in the cybersecurity and information technology arena helping government agencies defend against modern threats. During his time at Mandiant Jon has helped many government agencies improve their security postures, while also leading the post breach transformation efforts of some national headline security incidents. Prior to helping government customers at Mandiant, Jon was an Azure security architect at a Magic Quadrant leading software supply chain firm. Jon has also spent time in local government space in the North Texas area, in one case leading the incident response to restore public services after a ransomware attack.

Deborah is an accomplished C-level influencer, with a broad range of experience in government, policy, cybersecurity, privacy and information technology. An experienced and highly respected thought leader who has held executive roles for over two decades. She recently retired from her position as New York state’s chief information security officer (CISO) after over 35 years of public service. In that role, as part of New York state’s information technology transformation and consolidation initiative, she helped redesign how the state protects its data. As state CISO, she directed the state’s comprehensive cybersecurity governance, risk management and compliance program, providing strategic leadership and vision, and assuring business-aligned, risk-based investments that maximized business opportunity and minimized cybersecurity risk. She also directed the NYS Cyber Command Center, hotline, procedures for reporting and response to cyberthreats, and digital forensics. She holds multiple industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC); SANS Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) Global Information Assurance Certification; and Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
