Chris Muench

Chris Muench is a highly skilled Sales Engineer at Commvault, where he has been contributing his expertise since October 2022. With over two decades of experience in systems administration, programming, and cloud design, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. Prior to joining Commvault, Chris served as a Senior Systems Engineer at Hye Tech Network & Security Solutions, LLC for nearly a decade. During his tenure, he designed and implemented numerous Identity Automation, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) solutions for clients, utilizing platforms such as Okta, Duo, AzureAD, and helloID. Additionally, he was instrumental in designing and implementing VMware General Compute clusters, SQL clusters, vSAN for VDI, HCI, and NFS/iSCSI SAN for VMware. Chris's expertise extends to cloud technologies, having worked extensively with Azure and Amazon cloud services. His responsibilities included migrating to and from the cloud, conducting cost analyses, and performing security reviews. He also played a crucial role in ransomware defense, providing sessions for companies on best practices for protection, reaction strategies, and immediate response protocols. His hands-on experience includes multiple ransomware recoveries, restoring from backups, and rebuilding databases.

Brady Rossiter is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in driving revenue growth and operational excellence. Currently serving as the Sales Director – Central US at Commvault, Brady is pivotal in steering the Central SLED organization and overseeing revenue generation initiatives. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing client engagement, expanding market share, and optimizing revenue streams. Brady's career spans over two decades in the technology and consulting sectors. Before joining Commvault, he held roles at Dell EMC and Cohesity, where he spearheaded major sales strategies and grew significant revenue at both organizations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Northern Iowa and has completed executive education programs focused on strategic leadership. Brady's deep industry knowledge is complemented by his adeptness in leveraging proven market strategies to drive decision-making.

 

Jason Childers

Solution Architect, Hybrid Infrastructure, CDW

Jason is an established technology leader with proven experience managing various aspects of infrastructure operations and design from SMB to enterprise organizations. Throughout his career, he has helped companies merge technology solutions with business requirements, with core skillsets focused on secure storage engineering and infrastructure architecture. Peers respect his ability to work from engineering to senior management levels of an organization to shape technology strategy, vision, and roadmaps, as well as his ability to provide hands-on management and execution of strategic projects and initiatives. Currently, Jason provides pre-sales technical consulting and sales support for the top data protection products in the market. He wears many hats in this role and contributes significantly to working with sales, post-sales management, and delivery resources to scope products or services and to help ensure they are implemented successfully. Jason is highly comfortable engaging with clients of all types, virtually or physically, and developing LOU, SOW and LOE documentation when scoping potential deals. In addition, with his exposure to past infrastructure security design projects, Jason has successfully led multiple ransomware recovery assessments within CDW and Sirius using a NIST-based risk management framework approach for guidance and delivery consistency.

Jim Jorstad — Moderator

Senior Fellow, Center for Digital Government

Jim Jorstad is Senior Fellow for the Center for Digital Education and the Center for Digital Government. He is a retired emeritus interim CIO and Cyber Security Designee for the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He served in leadership roles as director of IT client services, academic technologies and media services, providing services to over 1,500 staff and 10,000 students. Jim has experience in IT operations, teaching and learning, and social media strategy. His work has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Forbes and NPR, and he is a recipient of the 2013 CNN iReport Spirit Award. Jim is an EDUCAUSE Leading Change Fellow and was chosen as one of the Top 30 Media Producers in the U.S.
