John Matelski is an Information Technology & Security executive with over thirty years of progressively responsible experience. He is currently the Chief Innovation and Information Officer for DeKalb County, Georgia, a position he has held since 2012. In his current position, John’s duties include executive management of all information technology and security resources and systems that support County operations, as well as driving innovation throughout the County enterprise. Matelski graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.B.A. with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems. Matelski has a proven track record of leadership in the public and private sectors utilizing innovation and resourcefulness with a proven ability to build a compelling vision and move an organization toward it. Matelski has been published in several industry trade journals including CIO Magazine, Government Technology magazine, State Tech, DBTA and Oracle Profit magazine. He has conducted key notes, workshops and presentations at industry conferences across the globe, and also consults with numerous commercial and government entities to establish strategies that proactively deal with IT and security issues. Matelski was most recently honored to receive two National Association of Counties (NACo) presidential appointments. He serves as Chair of the NACo Information Technology Standing Committee, as well as Vice-Chair for the NACo Telecommunications and Technology Steering Committee.

Mark Weatherford is a globally recognized information security professional with experience at some of the world’s largest public- and private-sector organizations. He was appointed as the first deputy under secretary for cybersecurity at DHS in the Obama administration and was chief information security officer for the state of Colorado and for the state of California under Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the energy industry, he was VP and chief security officer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, where he worked daily with Congress and electric utilities across North America on cybersecurity standards, regulations, and policy issues. He also served as a principal at The Chertoff Group and was VP and chief cybersecurity strategist at vArmour.

During his distinguished career, Dan has served global organizations in the public and private sectors in a variety of executive leadership capacities, receiving numerous national awards including: CSO of the Year, Public Official of the Year and Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader. Lohrmann led Michigan government’s cybersecurity and technology infrastructure teams from May 2002 – August 2014, including enterprise-wide Chief Security Officer (CSO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) roles in Michigan. He works with cybersecurity technology companies to provide insights and long-term strategic support. Dan is a Senior Fellow with the Center for Digital Government and a contributor to Government Technology magazine. He has advised senior leaders at the White House, National Governors Association (NGA), National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), federal, state and local government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and non-profit institutions. Dan has more than 30 years of experience in the computer industry, beginning his career with the National Security Agency. He worked for three years in England as a senior network engineer for Lockheed Martin (formerly Loral Aerospace) and for four years as a technical director for ManTech International in a U.S./UK military facility. He has been a keynote speaker at global security and technology conferences from South Africa to Dubai and from Washington D.C. to Moscow.
