Watch Now

Over the next five years, the federal government will award $5 billion in funding in the form of Safer Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants to support initiatives that promote safer streets with the goal of zero roadway deaths. Smart street lighting is a common method governments use to bolster safer streets initiatives – Street lighting is an essential component of road safety, and better lighting has proven to address a broader range of challenges, like lowering crime rates.

Ensuring lighting and other smart city infrastructure remain operational and secure means building resilient grids. Governments can support this next logical step in a city or state's evolution with the $10.5 billion in Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) funding available for initiatives that improve grid flexibility.

Explore how your city, state or locality can optimize street lighting and better manage the grid during a live 30-minute webinar hosted by Government Technology and Ubicquia on December 8, 2023, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET.
