A few years ago, Ventura County, Calif., faced a challenge familiar to most local governments. Demand for health and social services was growing rapidly, while budgets remained flat. To meet this challenge, the county’s Health and Human Services Agency implemented a multichannel document capture technology that automated and digitized its case management process. Manager of Application Development, County of Ventura California, Human Services Agency

Patricia has worked for the County of Ventura’s Information Technology Services Department for 35 years. She is currently assigned to the Human Services Agency as their Project Manager for Enterprise Content Management Solutions. During Patricia’s 31-year partnership with the Human Service Agency, she has led a number of IT initiatives for that agency, including serving as Project Manager for Ventura County’s CalWIN implementation. Patricia also serves as a County of Ventura Project Leadership Academy Instructor and Mentor. A native of Ventura County, Patricia is a grandmother of four who enjoys reading, singing, and the outdoors.

Ryan Bazler is a Director of Product Marketing at Kofax responsible for managing the requirements launch, and lifecycle of the Advanced Capture and TotalAgility product lines. Ryan has a BSEE, MBA and over 21 years of experience managing technology products, including 10 years in the document capture market and 5 years at Kofax.

For more than 25 years, Harold Tuck has dedicated his career to the County of San Diego. Most recently, as Chief Information Officer, Tuck was responsible for all operational and strategic Information Technology functions for the County, providing services to 17,000 County employees at over 200 facilities. One of Tuck’s primary, and highly visible tasks was ensuring that County government and its citizens received the full benefits of a multi-year, $700 million IT Outsourcing Contract, making the County the first Municipal Government to outsource all IT functions to the private sector.
