Many government websites have forms for online permit and license intake. While well-intentioned, the result is typically a deluge of incorrect applications and no time savings relief for staff.

The City of Santa Clarita, California, led by their Chief Building Official, sought to create a guided online experience to help residents navigate the complex permitting process online. As a result, the city has decreased the turnaround time for permits and saved hours of staff time that would’ve been spent answering repetitive questions.

Join leadership from Santa Clarita, their technology partners at Clariti, Governing and Government Technology for a live webinar on December 5, 2023, at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET for a behind-the-scenes look at the city’s permit guide and explore how other agencies can improve their self-service offerings for residents and businesses.

You’ll learn:

  • How Santa Clarita modernized public-facing processes for permitting, and how this approach can be applied to other use cases like licensing
  • The next best steps for making any permitting and licensing service easier for constituents and staff
  • How automated tools can increase agency agility and adaptability
