Removing legacy database dependencies is a common goal, but technical complexity and contractual terms can make it difficult to get there. Thankfully, cloud migration and application modernization provide unique opportunities to reach success.

As Utah's Department of Transportation (UDOT) embarks on this journey, they want to share details into their success story. In Part 1 of our webinar series, we discussed why UDOT decided to move to Google Cloud and how they successfully migrated more than 50 legacy database applications to Google’s Bare Metal Solution.

Now technology experts who have been involved in every step of the process will be available to discuss the journey, from initial planning to final implementation and ongoing support/services. To get real-world advice, join Government Technology, Dito and Google Cloud for a live webinar on September 23 at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern. Speakers will be there to take a deeper dive into:

     - UDOT’s high-level goals around application modernization
     - Process and tooling to support the journey
     - A real-world case study of a successful transition away from a major database vendor
