Corrections Sergeant, Miami Dade Corrections and Rehabilitations

Sergeant Vasconcelos is a 19 year veteran of Miami Dade Corrections and Rehabilitations, the last 7 of which have been spent working on special projects primarily dealing with information technology and data analytics. He was one of the primary members involved in the setup and implementation of Telestaff within the department. Prior to his career in law enforcement, he worked within the information technology field in various capacities, including help desk management, computer operations, and systems analysis. His extensive experience in both Corrections Operations and Information Technology allows him to serve as the bridge between Senior Management for the Corrections and Information Technology departments.

Bill Lounsbury

Deputy Fire Chief, Danbury Fire Department in Connecticut

Bill Lounsbury is a Deputy Fire Chief with the Danbury Fire Department in Connecticut. Deputy Chief Lounsbury is a 34 year career fire service veteran, and in addition to his fire suppression duties, he is responsible for the administration of the UKG Telestaff product for Danbury Fire and Police. Lounsbury’s journey with TeleStaff began in 2012 when the fire department began utilizing the workforce scheduling technology, and his knowledge of the Telestaff product has evolved with the implementation of each new major release. Deputy Chief Lounsbury Telestaff experience is broad, including the design and application of custom reports, and he is a regular presenter at Fire Rescue International and the UKG Works user conference.

Daniel Bieranowski

Senior Workforce Solutions Consultant, UKG

Dan Bieranowski is a 10-year veteran of UKG, formerly known as Kronos. Dan began his career in Technical Support assisting UKG TeleStaff public safety customers with their automated scheduling systems. Today Dan serves as a Senior Workforce Solutions Consultant supporting over 1000 UKG TeleStaff™ customers in the US and Canada. Throughout his career with UKG, Dan has developed a strong understanding of the complex scheduling needs of police, fire and correctional organizations.

Eric Holdeman — Moderator

Senior Fellow, Center for Digital Government

Eric Holdeman is a nationally known emergency manager. He has worked in emergency management at the federal, state and local government levels. Today he serves as the Director, Center for Regional Disaster Resilience (CRDR), which is part of the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER). The focus for his work there is engaging the public and private sectors to work collaboratively on issues of common interest, regionally and cross jurisdictionally.
