Enterprise Content Management (ECM) has become a critical component in the local government technology portfolio. In a recent survey from the Center for Digital Government, 60% of city respondents and 57% of County respondents said that they view ECM as central to data sharing and retention across applications.

However, there are still many organizations using ECM simply for document search and storage, and these government agencies are missing out on opportunities to leverage the application for process automation and systems integrations.

Join us to hear advice from two leading Top Digital Counties on how they’re using ECM to improve processes, connect disparate systems, and provide better information to both citizens and internal staff.  Speakers from Skagit County, WA and Chesterfield County, VA, will be answering questions such as:

  • How do you plan out your ECM implementation?
  • What systems have you integrated with ECM?
  • Which processes have you successfully automated?
  • What advice do you have for someone looking to automate their first business process?

Speakers:

Michael Almvig, Manager, Information Systems, Skagit County, WA

Michael Wells, Desktop Services Manager, Chesterfield County, VA

Moderator:

Todd Sander, Executive Director, Center for Digital Government
