Chris Wollesen brings over 20 years of experience with the State of Illinois serving in a variety of capacities at several agencies. Starting as a help desk agent, working on development teams and now based in the IT agency for 10 years, Chris manages the Web Content Management division. He and his team lead the modernization of content delivery technology for State of Illinois public websites. Chris strives to mentor and encourage his staff, while also prioritizing the delivery of technology that creates the best outcome and positive user experience for state residents.

Alexis Bonnell

Strategic Business Executive, Public Sector

Alexis Bonnell is a Senior Business Executive and the Emerging Technology Evangelist for Public Sector at Google. Government is navigating unprecedented times, unprecedented opportunity and can leverage unprecedented technology to solve our nations and the world's most pressing challenges. More than ever, Public Servants are leading the charge to create a better, more equitable, and empowered experience for citizens. Alexis was one of the first members of the Internet’s original Trade Association, served as a Chief Profit Officer for companies transitioning to a digital existence, applied her communications, project management, innovation and technology application skills in over 20 warzones, global disasters, and major transformation projects for the United Nations. At USAID, Alexis was a public servant who led Transformation and Knowledge Management in the Management Bureau, was the Chief of Engagement for Education, one of the Founders of USAID’s U.S. Global Development Lab, and recently completed her service as USAID’s Chief Innovation Officer. At Google, Alexis dedicates her time to helping public servants catalyze their missions with technology.

Otto Doll — Moderator

Senior Fellow, Center for Digital Government

As the Minneapolis CIO for seven-plus years, Mr. Doll was responsible for all City IT services. Formerly South Dakota's CIO for 15 years with responsibility for all state government computing, telecommunications, state radio, and public broadcasting. While with IT research firms, Mr. Doll has advised Fortune 1000, Federal, State, and Local Government CIOs on information technology assessment and alignment to business needs. He has served as a Director with the United States General Services Administration, developing information technology strategic plans and oversight policy. Mr. Doll received his Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech and is a Senior Executive Fellow of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is a past President of NASCIO — a national organization of state CIOs. He also is a past President of the Metropolitan Information Exchange (MIX) — a national organization of city and county CIOs. Mr. Doll was named to Government Technology's Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers.
