He has more than 20 years of writing and editing experience at newspapers and magazines, including more than 15 years of covering technology in the state and local government market.

Vice-President, Artificial Intelligence, Workday

Kathy Pham is a computer scientist and product leader with experience across industry, academia, non-profits, venture capital, and government. She is Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Workday. She is a Senior Advisor at Mozilla where she co-founded the Mozilla Builders Incubator and Mozilla Responsible Computing, funding and enabling start-up founders and academics. She is on Faculty at Harvard where she created and teaches Product Management and Society and co-founded the Ethical Tech Working Group. She was a Fellow at the MIT Media Lab and Harvard Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence Initiative where she co-founded ai-in-the-loop, exploring how AI fits into the human world. She also serves on various technology and non-profit boards. Previously, Kathy was appointed the inaugural Executive Director of the National AI Advisory Committee, led as the Deputy Chief Technologist at the Federal Trade Commission, and was a founding Engineering and Product member of the U.S. Digital Service at the White House where she helped build critical digital services in government across three presidential administrations. Kathy has spent over a decade building large scale systems in industry and healthcare at Google (Search, Health, People Operations), IBM, and Harris Healthcare.

Jenn Dearth is a Product Lead for AI in Workday's Financials products ($1.6B ARR). She has led Product teams in enterprises and startups, across healthcare, government, services and education industries. Prior to Workday, she was head of Product at Stedi, a tech startup that raised $71M from First Round Capital, Bloomberg BETA, USV, and other top investors. Prior to taking on her role at Stedi, Jenn worked as a Group Product Manager at Pivotal Labs where she helped clients build a variety of products, including a backend platform for the world's largest automaker, a marketplace app to match volunteers with opportunities, and a labor management system for the nation's largest member-owned healthcare services company. Jenn started her career in Product Management shortly after college when she and her sister created a startup that built educational video games to teach 3rd grade math. She has been featured in Northern Virginia Magazine, Washington Times, and has spoken at several industry events including Boulder and Denver Startup Weeks. She loves how AI Product Management blends her neuroscience background with her 18+ years of experience in tech.
